And not only that, so does every Archive previously.

I am unsure why so many people seem to think "Ivy becoming a teenager" is a prospect to be dreaded when its not as if the Archive has not successfully endured so many generations already.

Knowing the facts of the situation is entirely insubstantial in the face of adolescent hormones. Cheesy

I just don't see how this is an inevitable consequence of what we've seen in the books so far. A plausible one, yes, but not an inevitable one.

Oh, it certainly isn't inevitable. But considering that it is far from impossible, thinking about the possibilities of a raging-hormones, ultra-powerful, ANGRY holder-of-all-human-and-wizardly-knowledge teenager is shudder-inducing. Grin

Teenager is a modern social construction, though, and, well, Ivy has access to anything that was ever set down about how humans who were biologically teenagers and socially adults managed to make it work.

*shrug* It's still a medically-established fact that adolescents are extremely hormonally active, and that can play hob with even the most intelligent kid. I WAS trying to make a humor-oriented bit about putting all that power in the hands of what could be a hormonal monster, but meh. Tongue Cheesy

It's possible (though I don't care to make an estimate of probability) that the Archive has never before been housed in so young a body, and regardless of whether this is true, we the readers certainly have no reference to how it (the Archive) might react to puberty.  This does not discount the volume of information written about adolescence and functioning as a social adult-- but putting it into practice during a hormone-storm could be somewhat problematic.

Remember the She-Ra-with-PMS skit on Robot Chicken?

That.

A million times, that. Lips sealed
