Yeah.  I currently work for Microsoft, but have a serious job offer that would entail moving to NYC before April.

I'll be there. I'm coming from Bellingham, which is a good 2 hours north.

Edit: I now realize that this is a signing, not a talk.....a talk would be nice.
Edit: Either I missed the word "reading" or youse guys are changing the notice....lol.

I'll get there earlier and gawk at all the city folk.

Woot I can't wait. I wonder if my employer will notice when several of my known associates and myself contract a mysterious illness all on the same day. I hate those eye problems where you just can't see yourself coming in.

I'll be there! I'm traveling all the way from Kirkland. I'll be making the pilgrimage over the 520 bridge during rush hour.  Undecided

I'm curious to know if Jim Butcher allows video taping during his events. Does anyone know? It's just that some of my friends can't make it...so it would be nice to share with them.

Yeah, he's cool with video taping.  You can see a number of Jim's previous signings and con panels on YouTube.

That video was cool. If I didn't crave a signed book, the videos would have satisfied my curiosity. He could always do what Terry Pratchett does and have a mail order business for signed books and art (hint, hint, hint): http://www.pjsmprints.com/books/index.html

I hope Mental was exaggerating about taking the whole day off. That would suck for us poor country folk.

Hey, at this reading/talk/signing, will Jim do an "Oprah" and place the keys to brand new Caddys under everyone's chairs? I'll take a white-on-white drop-top, if you please...Smiley

to quote Dr. Cockaroch on Mosters v. Aliens. OMG. I am so stoked for this. I'll be coming up from Spanaway. I might ride if my wife does not want to come with me. I love the fact that I don't work graveyard anymore and can accually be out with the liveing at a normal time. Soo looking forward to this event. To bad he isn't coming to Emerald city Comic Con.

Info provided by the bookstore below.  It looks like the books are sold in the book store, but the signing it is hidden in their maze of a campus.

Wednesday • April 7 • 8pm

Boy I so wish I could go but I have to work! My son is gonna be there so will have to see if he can tape for me! He will be coming from Port Angeles. His wife will have the book on her nook so he's gonna take some graphic novel to have  Mr. Butcher sign. That's OK right? Huh
