Join NY Times #1 Best Selling author Jim Butcher tomorrow, April 14th, online at http://bittenbybooks.com for an exclusive Bitten by Books interview!  Since this event is online, you can come by any time during the day and ask Jim questions on the Bitten By Books blog.

The event starts at 1pm EST (noon CST/11am MST/10am PST/6pm GMT) and runs throughout the day. Just stop by the main Bitten by Books site to participate.  RSVP and be entered in a raffle for one of ten copies of Changes!

Get your questions ready!

Two questions on this.

1.)To "attend" the event, does one need to make sure to RSVP?

2.)If one does need to RSVP, I suppose those of us with copies should say "no need for copy" or some such?

1)  Not as far as I'm aware, but I did anyway.  Having an approximate number may help the site in terms of gauging popularity or bandwidth cost or whatnot.  I figure it's just polite.  *shrugs* Cheesy

2)  That's what I did.

I review books for BittenbyBooks and got to do the review for Changes for the site.  You only have to RSVP if you want 25 points in the contest in which they are giving away 25 unsigned copies of the book.  You get 25 for RSVP and so many for every question you ask Mr. Butcher.  Also more points if you purchase any of the books in the Jim Butcher library.

Hi there!

You don't need to RSVP, it is for the contest AND to give as an idea of how many people to expect for the server etc. Not mandatory at all. If you don't want to be entered into the contest you can let us know in the comments when you post your first question.

Thanks, so much!

Thanks to you for organizing another event!  I had a great time at last year's Q&A, and I can't wait to see what surprises this one brings.

It's 6pm GMT, so GMT +8 would be 2am on the 15th.  This might help you in the future: http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc

I'm pretty sure this is going to be a dumb question - but do we need to keep refreshing the page to see new comments/Jim's answers? I've never participated in such an online event - where the event is not on "chat" so am thoroughly confused.  Embarrassed Thanks!

How many questions does Jim intend to answer anyway? That is to say is it permissible to ask more than 1 question or is one per person a limit?

The post says "as time permits".

Considering there were something like 200 rsvp's, I'm not going to ask a second question until he's answered several more. Mostly as a courtesy thing. If he's going strong for a while, I might drop another question.
