Not only are the miniatures widely available, some varieties come prepainted (the Hero Clix stuff, I think?).    And yet with all this available, it is still quite common to come across the Silver Army of Ultimate Laser Protection.   

Better though it may be, I still feel inclined to raise my fist in rage at FASA on occasion:  Battletech in "Z" Scale minis?  *grumble grumble*
