There is always threat of cancelling for a show like this, so it is best to put on the best face possible and attack (not physical or magical Wink ) but by writing in and show your support - the more people who write in, the better it will be that the show is perceived.

Write now!

I aim to have a letter in the post either tomorrow or Friday from the UK

In a world without Buffy we really need Harry.

Thanks for the efforts Bonnie! (Who knows. Maybe Jim will begrudgingly grant you a small portion of his hard won Stan Lee geek points upon the successful conclusion of the campaign)

I am signed up #322. Anything to support the show and Jim
Congrats to all of you who have thought ahead in this manner rather than wail away when it is too late.

To any evil-doer that attempts to cancel TDF...I say Bolshevik Muppet to that happy-crappy.

If you don't have a Nielsen box, how will the networks know if you watch the show? Simple... write them a letter and tell them you watch. I've have seen first hand how effective letters can be. For a show that is teetering on the edge, a few simple letters can tip the scales our way. Dresden Files is worth the 39 cent postage stamp. And when it comes to season 2, I want no doubt on the minds of Sci-Fi channel execs as to whether this show has a loyal fan base.

I also wanted to add that it is easier to keep a current show on the air than it is to try and bring one back after it has been cancelled. So don't wait for a cancellation notice before you act.

Oddly enough, some time ago I posted the needed addresses. It is down the list from here,, and I wrote some weeks ago too.  I think that both should be done, both emails and snail mails. Snail mail is counted more though. It is getting to be more a rarity, but it should be done. I think the jury is still out as far as SFC is concerned, and that it said Season ender was a good sign. But, write people write, and it cannot hurt.

Yes, I'd highly suggest using snail mail and not email to show your support. Email really isn't counted as seriously at all, from what I've been told. A real, tangible letter shows effort on the viewer's part and has more chance of being seen by the right person. As quick and easy as it is to send off an email, it can be deleted and forgotten just as quickly. if you can do both then that's great but if you can only do one, then do try a real pen and paper.

If you've been buying the episodes off iTunes, make sure to buy them all now, too. I think if SFC/Lionsgate see that the episodes are still selling well after the broadcast as finished they will look at it as growing/positive word of mouth about the series.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there isn't a network executive about to eat your favorite TV show..

Sent my two archaic, postage-stamped letters off on This Very Day.   Cheesy

Another way to show support for a show is to attend some of the larger conventions and display your support. Conventions like Comic Con San Diego and Dragon*Con in Atlanta are two good one. Wearing a Dresden themed costume or a Bob t-shirt is showing support. It is also a good way to advertise the show and get those unfamiliar with it interested.

BTW, if anyone is planning to attend Dragon*Con this year, please feel free to PM me and let me know.

Just a hearty bump to remind people to keep checking Bonnie's site. She keeps adding information to it and is currently working on fliers. She also has letter writing tips up too. But for now, it can't be stressed enough that letters are needed. Go why not gather your friends and have a letter writing party. In the scheme of things, a little time and a couple of stamps isn't much to ask for when showing support for a tv show you enjoy.
