I'm guessing Amazon will buy a few copies, I'm sure a few others will as well.  Distributors are sent this info and then decide how much they want to buy and such.  Amazon has picked up all the other Lionsgate Videos DVD's.

I'm so happy Smiley squeeeee! This is a great sign for renewal. I think I'll preorder from amazon.

Now I'm crossing my fingers for a new announcement for James Marsters to do another audiobook.

Heh I've been checking Amazon three times a day. Smiley

Does this site have an Amazon affiliate link we could order through, to chuck some more money its way?

Not to dampen spirits, but SciFi isn't releasing this under their label, Lionsgate is...this has nothing to do with renewal chances. Lionsgate makes the show, and has DVD distribution ability. SciFi actually buys the show.

At least this DVD release isn't "the complete series", then we would know for sure that Dresden was done. The fact that it's listed as season one at least bodes well for a season 2. Of course they could always change the title before release.

But it does show that Lionsgate thinks it will make enough profit to spend the time on making all the extras and promotion costs to sell the DVD.

I get a chuckle out of all of the sci-fi/horror stuff that's coming out of Lionsgate lately. My 5yr old has a ton of Lionsgate films-- all Care Bears.

-- all Care Bears.

Truly the root of all evil *shudder* lol.

Hey cool Dresden TV on DVD.  Yipeee.  Also being released on my birthday.  Only thing I have to find out now is if the original "unaired" pilot will be released on iTunes or not.  If not then I suppose I will be getting Dresden on DVD.  Will be a nice way to wait for the Short Story, and Small Favor.
