Well, The only way for Caria to get pregnant is by Aquitane. Even if Gaius does start performing husbandly duties, there is no way he would be stupid enough to allow himself to conceive. He has enough watercrafting to make sure he is shooting blanks if anything were to happen.

If she were to get pregnant, I have the feeling she would be spending the rest of her life in the grey tower with no visitors.

And if Acquitaine intentionally gets her pregnant?  How does Gaius prove the child is not his?   Or what if before he gets a chance to try, he gets conveniently dead?
