I thought it was interesting that Mister "He who must be obeyed" had no aura, that he looked exactly the same when Harry looked at him with his Sight. Hmmm?

I took that to mean he's just a cat - not a higher spirit who's watching over Harry, not some kind of Guardian like Mouse or similar.  Of course, no cat is 'just' anything. Cheesy

Well, it's a safe bet he's not going to have a hot date! Cheesy
Having finally gotten Blood Lite through inter-library loan, I would like to begin my observations by calling Reverse Funny Aneurysm on this comment.  Grin Although . . . it was kinda right . . .

Anyway, it was nice to see the Alphas again, both for gaming and for making Harry's life more complicated. Also, as uproariously funny as Darth Wannabe and the gang were, I doubt we'll be seeing them again - not only because they're such small fish compared to Harry, but because in general it seems that the short-story antagonists are the "monsters-of-the-week" to the novel antagonists' "big bads". Of course, there's no reason why Jim couldn't mix this up a bit (and believe me, I wouldn't mind seeing them again), that just seems to be the trend.

Actually, the thought crossed my mind the other day, what if Darth Wannabee is actually the Master Villain?  The head of the Black Council, or something like that...hiding in plain sight?  Getting Harry used to thinking of him as 'harmless annoying doofus'...

I just read this story while in Books A Million (But didn't by the book TAKE THAT ESTABLISHMENT!!!).

The Alphas were hilarious.
The Plot in general was hilarious and made me think of Jim's comment about how he writes these books "Suffer Harry! Suffer!!!"

On the Subject of the Dark Wannabe, I am on the side of them appearing if only in passing.  It wouldn't surprise me if they appear in some book looking to kill Harry, on top of whatever supernatural Nasty is looking to kill Harry, on top of whatever Mortal nasty is trying to kill Harry.  In fact I would probably die of shock if that promosied pipe bomb didn't get thrown into the mix at the absolute worst possible time.

Hello everyone, I'm new here but the thread topic is quite interesting. How about Mister and Mouse solving the "problem" without Harry's ever noticing and with the capable assistance of Toot and various pixie backup, (pixies do speak cat & dog right?)
