I gotta admit I see Thomas with more chiseled, classical features.  The coloring, from what the image shows (dark hair) seems correct, however.

Looks strongly Jude Law to this reader.     Not objectionable in itself I guess.

A deeper chested & less stoop-shouldered, more poised, more athletic, pouncing tomcat stance & look may be closer to what the some of the other viewers had in mind?

It's not how I envisioned Thomas either, but then again who ever agrees entirely on how a character should look?  To me, it resembles '30's pulp art, and the blank white eyes clued me in that it might be Thomas when the Hunger overtakes him.  Of course, I could be wrong....

*drools slowly*

I've always been curious about the dynamic between the two half-brothers and now we'll be able to observe it Thomas' side, a complex individual on his own.

That's Mike Mignola's style, and for horror/action comics there is virtually no one better these days.  He created Hellboy among others.  I've been following his comic stuff for years now - and in fact have managed to get him to do me a sketch (of Batman from his groundbreaking "Gotham by Gaslight").

So that's who's doing the art for Backup - Cool beans.  Too bad it won't  be out in time for Comic Con.

We now have the cover art for Backup, plus a status update on their Special Edition of Storm Front!  From Subterranean Press:

Quote
We've completed the design and initial proofing of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files novelette, Backup. All that's left is for Jim to set pen to the signature pages and take a final proofing tour through the book himself. Mike Mignola (of Hellboy fame) has graced us with the striking cover as well as four black-and-white interior illustrations, making this a rare treat for Jim (and Mike's) many fans. Printed in two colors throughout, with such great illustrations and a rare glimpse at Harry Dresden's world through the eyes of his demon brother, Thomas, Backup has turned into a very special project indeed.

Collector's Note: A reminder that we're also doing a limited edition of the first Dresden Files novel, Storm Front, which is pre-selling exceptionally well. In the two days since we first announced it for preorder, over half of the print run for Storm Front has been reserved. As we're only doing 526 copies, you might want to get your order in soon or risk disappointment. We currently have a proposal in with Jim's main publisher to do more of the Dresden Files novels as limiteds, so now's your chance to get in on the ground floor.

Does this mean that Jim is autographing the finished books, or signing individual pages that are then being inserted during the binding process?

The latter, I believe, is the standard process.
