We'll see! We only got the chapters from Jim this morning, and it'll take some time to get everything properly formatted and such. Most excellent. Thank you, and Fred, and Jim, and anyone else involved, for making this happen. Echoing neurovore, thank you all, it brightened today and will also brighten the coming weeks.

Another blockbuster on the way! One to Chapter two. Any chance it will be posted earlier than next week? No? I thought as much.

I work for a 3D animation studio. I do character design and texture painting. My work as Fred's Industrious Little Gnome is independent of that. Sweet. Does that mean i can talk you into doing all my uv mapping on my meshes. I really hate doing uv's. I only do maya/3ds/ae etc for fun though. I've got quite a few static 3d scenes of Dresden stuff I need to finish. Yea for Sample chapters. Thanks all involved.

You have wonder if any of the other kids have inherited their mom's magic. Snowball fights to faerie fights -- great justaposition! I didn't see it coming.

Are the chapters from printer's proofs? Just asking 'cause of the error in the second paragraph . . . . not being nit-picky but couldn't help but notice it.

aside from the total awesomeness of the chapter, which gave me loads of prickly goosebumps, i was wondering about one thing: when harry accepts a snowball from little Faith, doesn't that have to be little Hope? unless there are even more carpenter children than we all thought (see what happens when you name your children after abstract concepts )

From my (bad memory) recollection of White Night sample chapters, I believe they are typed up by someone on the staff. Fred? I didn't notice any mistakes, but I'm still giddy from all the joy. I almost forgot how this feels.

The betas caught it--not sure how it slipped through. I suppose it's fair to say Unreliable Narrator Harry can't keep all of Michael's kids straight.
