Just read Neal's full blog, and wow. I wish my gaming group was a bit more open-minded with respect to new gaming systems, because this sounds absolutely amazing! Maybe if I start wooing now, I'll have convinced them to give it a shot by the time the RPG comes out. XD *grabs a big stick*

Rick Neal continues to go to town with lots of good peeks & observations about the game -- we've got a big mortal cast and some commentary on the conflict system up there now: http://rickneal.ca/And Mick Bradley has started airing some character writeups, the first being a changeling info-broker: http://mickbradley.livejournal.com/57456.html

*silently prays his application to test is approved*
After reading Rick's blog, I drowned my roommate and fiance in chatter about the Dresden RPG all freaking day.

After reading Rick's blog, I drowned my roommate and fiance I'm sorry, and I know it's inconsequential, but when I saw this, I have to say that I was worried for a second! :-Þ

I've got to get a gaming group again - all my gaming friends have moved! I have a slightly different problem. We all got married and had kids, and the kids all now have activities. Very difficult to get a gaming group together. We end up playing Catan instead.

I haven't heard anything about how the Dresden Files RPG playtest at OmegaCon went. Was anybody on this forum there? I'm anxious to know how "The Magic City" fared.

Hi, I'm Mick Bradley, one of the Alpha Bleeders for DFRPG. If anyone is interested, I've just released episode 3 of my rpg journal-podcast, The Game That May Be, where I spend the last half of the show talking about DFRPG.

Information about the OmegaCon playtest (Birmingham, AL) is trickling out on my LJ account http://johnpaul613.livejournal.com/. I've got a full time job and 5 kids (3 recently adopted from Ukraine) so I'm not as quick or as verbose as some of the other playtest groups. It went very well even for the majority of players who were interested mainly in the setting rather than a specific rules set. I'm getting through the characters and will move on to my thoughts about the rules test over the next few days. BTW, are you local to Bham? If so, I'm looking for a few more players (not only for Dresden). Drop a comment over on my LJ if your interested.
