Okay, back in 2004, for SheVa Con and in celebration of the release of Book 6,
Blood Rites, I made a wicked cool wizard hat for Jim:
Photo of said wicked cool wizard hatI painted quotes from the 6 books, plus the names of the major characters from the books, onto the exterior of the hat. It took me about two weeks to paint it all. (Would've been longer if I had that much patience, but after about a week, I got to the point where I just wanted it DONE.)
So, I told Jim that if he made it to book 12, there'd be a matching cape to go with it.
On that note (along w/ note to self: buy cape) - I need to start collecting quotes from the books again. And I'm asking you, the general populace of the Jim Butcher message board, to help me out, since we have 9 (almost 10) fabulous books, and it'll be 12 before I'm done. (And I need to get started early to get a jump-start on my procrastination!)

There are a few 'rules' for submitting quotes here for me:
1. Quotes must be word-for-word exact from the book. I pull them all into a word doc then print them off so I can copy from that, since I can't move my PC to the work surface.
2. Source book must be mentioned (helps me locate it if you don't have #3).
3. Chapter and/or page number is extremely helpful!
4. Any quotes from the most recent book (as of April 2008, that's Small Favor) MUST use the spoiler tag! [added 04/08/08, but is also in a post further in]
I will be keeping track of this thread so I can periodically grab quotes and such.
And - thank you all, so much, in advance for all of your contributions!
(For the record, yes, I am insane for taking on this project, but I really don't mind! It's a lovely excuse to use for why you're reading the books for the 8-zillionth time, right? *g*)
