In the meantime, we're very curious about what people think about Kate Reading, the reader for the Alera series.  When you get your copy of Captain's Fury, please let us know what you think!

I missed these announcements, but that is great news.

Thanks for the update Priscellie!

Edited because I was an idiot and went from the announcement to discuss and didn't see Priscellie post.  *slipping off into the night.

Key question though.  Who is reading them?

Thanks for the update Priscellie!

The reader's name is Kate Reading.  She has quite the resume!  I can't wait to hear her tackle the series.

Thanks Priscellie! and special kudos to JRBobC!

However, I do hope that the price $49.95 each does drop before the issue date! Jim's work is easily worth that much, but I'd prefer to get them at a price closer to $30 each.

I'm certain they will!  Amazon always affords their customers a pretty sweet discount from the List Price.  My guess is that we'll see a drop to the $30-35 range well before the release date.

Surely if they are doing all the Alera books on audio we'll get the remaining Dresdan Files? Is there a place to hear sample chapters? JM has sort of spoiled me to audio readers.
