Same idea as the Questions for Jim thread:

I thought I'd create a thread specifically aimed at Robert to check when he can, in order for some questions to avoid being buried in time.

However, we have to be careful and not flood this thread with random questions. So, rules of this thread:

1) No questions obviously aimed at plot points that will be revealed later in the show.

2) Nothing personal, in this thread. This is for Dresden Files TV show questions, only. If he deviates, well, he's allowed.

3) Don't discuss or derail the thread. If you want to discuss something he's said, make your own thread and quote him.  He can come in that thread and discuss it with you...the point of this thread isn't a one-stop shop for all things Robert, but simply a place where he can see  questions and answer them. If we get into discussions, this thread will wander all over the place (something I normally don't mind, but this thread is an exception).

4) Please do your homework before asking a question...see if you can find the answers elsewhere, first. Unlike some, I do not mind when someone new to the boards asks a question that's been discussed to death, but if an answer is readily answerable elsewhere, then it's a waste of breath in this particular thread. Please also note that there's a FAQ forum near the top of this board. At the time of this writing, it's a tad threadbare, but it is growing.

5) Bear in mind he may choose to be obtuse or outright not answer a question. He has a show to protect.

To start:

*Last we heard, you were considering adding Marcone into the pilot to pad time...did this happen? If not, is he in the series episodes? Has he been cast, if so? If he's been cast, can you tell us who it is?

*Folks on this board are interested in starting grass-roots PR campaign. To that end, computer games have fan-pac media downloads for people to design their own fan-based websites and T-shirts, both before and after release...is there any desire on the production team's end to do this?

What sort of music will we be listening to during the opening credits? And if we now have music, did you use that temporary music from the promo the NY people put together, because that would be totally cool if you did Wink

1) When will we see Toot-Toot? And Michael?
2) What happened to Harry's duster? I noticed he was wearing a hoodie and jacket in the trailer. (Please note that I refrained from mentioning hockey sticks. Tongue Tongue Tongue )

Since time slot determines some of the content that's allowed (and hence the tone)*, have they given you an idea of what slot the show will be in?

*Fox messes with this with shows like Bones being on at 8pmEST, but generally, timeslot regulates what you can get away with, tone & content wise.

Nope.  Not going to happen.  We'll most likely be adding Marcone down the road instead.

We hadn't thought about it, but I'll mention it to SciFi's publicity folks on Monday.  Great idea.

Still hasn't been finalized.  We probably won't lock music until late December (a few weeks before the premiere.)

1) When will we see Toot-Toot? And Michael?

Unsure.  We had Toot in the pilot but had to cut him out because he was freaking expensive to produce.  I'd love to do him down the road.  Cross your fingers.  Michael is easier to do, but, right now, I think we're going to concentrate mostly on Dresden's relationship with Morgan, who, though a very different character, shares a similar niche (supernatural asskicker) to Michael.  I doubt we'll see Michael in season one, but I could be wrong.

2) What happened to Harry's duster? I noticed he was wearing a hoodie and jacket in the trailer.

We have Dresden in a very cool, somewhat long (mid-thigh) brown distressed leather coat.  This shoots better than the duster.  Also, our production designer came up with an idea that, since good wizards are very careful to avoid Black Magic, they would also avoid black clothing and black props, etc.  So no long black leather duster.  The jacket he's in is very cool though, is leather, and is long enough to be duster-ish if you squint.

Sure you did.  You mentioned it right there.   Tongue

We think it'll be 9pm, though we're not certain.  We're writing the show as basically TV-PG, so there will be some adult themes and such, but no swearing or nudity.
