Thanks!

That is cool, except I was only able to get tickets for Sunday.... the only day that Jim Butcher has nothing on his schedule.

Still the event should be cool and I can visit the Dabel Brothers booth.

At this rate I wouldn't be able to afford to protect mankind from the perils of black magic.  Hell's bells, that would be really embarrassing.

One of my favorite parts of Comic Con is the free books.  It makes me very happy.  Even if I already have three copies, I can share the wealth.

Brian- that sucks.  SDCC can sell out *months* before you know for sure who is going to be there, unfortunately.  Huge does not even begin to describe the con.

I guess I can't complain too much since this is such sort notice.  I just found out Wednesday that I was going to be in LA for that weekend.  So I planned a quick road trip down there.

I never had been to a major con.  Just a couple of local cons in Oklahoma City years ago.

I am planning on doing the walking ghost tour of the gaslight district of San Diego Saturday night.  Has anyone done this yet?  I really enjoyed the ghost tour of Colonial Williamsburg I did several years back.

I haven't done the tour, but the Gaslamp is downtown by the convention center, so plan for horrific traffic.

Will you be there too, Gail?

We forumites all need to have some sort of meetup at some point.  Perhaps after one of Jim's panels?

There's here, too:

Sunday, July 27
4:00-5:00 Buffy the Musical— Let's end this show with a bang! The powers that be behind Whedonopolis.com host a screening of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode "Once More With Feeling" as Comic Con 2008's big closing event! Many say this is the finest, funniest, most ingenious episode ever to come out of the Buffy-verse. But remember, the best part of the show is up to you! These eps were made for talkin'—back, that is—and singing and shouting and dancing in the aisles—with or without your dry cleaning! Audience participation: it isn't just for Rocky Horror and mob riots anymore. For more details on the screening visit www.whedonopolis.com, then show up for music, singing, and dancing crazy! Ballroom 20

After Jim's panels could be good.  We could go in search of dinner.
