The second issue of the Dresden Files graphic novel, Welcome to the Jungle, comes out May 21st, but we have a preview for you today!  Use Diamond's Comic Shop Locator tool to find the store nearest you!

Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle #2 (of 4)

Written by Jim Butcher
Art and cover by Adrian Syaf
Inks by Rick Ketchum, Nick Nix and David Rivera
Variant Cover by Chris McGrath

Cats don't hunt in packs... and that's one of the reasons Dresden knows he's up against something magical when a whole group of escaped leopards, tigers and lions attacks him. It hardly seems fair, since he's barely started the case. But then, that's what happens when you're a wizard investigating the paranormal for the police, especially when you're up against an ancient creature that is planning to become something even more terrifying than it already is...

Written exclusively for comics by Jim Butcher, The Dresden Files: Welcome to the Jungle is a brand new story set in the world of the bestselling series of novels, The Dresden Files, that's sure to enchant readers with a blend of gripping mystery and fantastic adventure!

On sale May 21. 40 pg, FC, $3.99 US

It looks kick arse.  Can't wait until October when the whole sha-bang comes out.

When it comes out, you'll be able to order online from MidtownComics.com.  You can pre-order a few weeks in advance from tfaw.com, but the second issue is no longer available.  You can only get #3 and #4 from them now.

You know, it just occured to me that the cover seemingly shows Harry making a potion of some sort. So, it might be a reasonable assumption that Harry makes a potion at some point during the story.

But, Jim hasn't paid much attention to that particular wizardly activity of late.

But, W2tJ being a prequel story, takes place back when he (Jim) did.

That much metaplot is, in my opinion, one more sign of Mr. Butcher's authorial awesomeness. (not, of course that it doesn't if I'm just wildly overthinking all this.  Wink)

It looks kick arse.  Can't wait until October when the whole sha-bang comes out.
I resemble this remark.

Priscellie, congrats on getting credit as a thematic consultant.  It sounds much safer than a supernatural consultant for the CPD.

I want to thank you, Fred, and Michael.  I don't want Jim to spend TOO much time making the comic just right.  But you three have ensured that the visuals are faithful to his world.

Thanks.
