Since I am short and fat I sighed and said to my niece that I wouldn't make a good Harry Dresden.  So she told me I could be a Harry Dresden Chibi.  ROTFLMAO

If anyone is interested, I put some pictures up on my family's website of the costume I made for my daughter.  We had a lot of fun with it.

http://www.leyhowell.com/index.cfm?Apploc=Children.Page&ID=321&PageName=October%2019%2C%202008

P.S.  Absolutely no photoshopping on this costume!   Smiley

I am PARALYZED with cute.  The location is ideal, costume itself is fantastically well-made, and Charlotte carries it off brilliantly.  The fact that she has STOLEN MY HEART in the process only works further in her favor.  This is going to be a tough entry to beat!

Alrite, well, this is my take on Cowl.

Personally I'm not sure if I'm channeling Cowl or Ghost In The Shell's 'Laughing Man'. I was going to add some graffiti along the lines of "Dresden Must Die" or something, but thought the Black Circle made a better touch. Hope you like

Ease up on the Photoshop there, Craig.  It's a cool image, but this is a costume contest, not an illustration contest.

While I can only claim 50% credit for the cuteness, I thank everyone for the compliments on the costume.  Since Charlotte has an exuberance that makes the energizer bunny look positively morose, a fondness for pizza bordering on the obsessive, and is commonly called a 'pixie' by those who know her, the outfit seemed a no-brainer.
It was a lot of work (the hat and pencil are hand-painted cardboard), so it is nice when it is appreciated!

Ley - It's absolutely stunning. Fabulous fabulous job! She's a winner as far as I'm concerned.

Oh my gosh she is just too cute.  You too Sameth Embarrassed

I have a couple of questions if ya'll don't mind...

When they say the cut off is Nov 1 at midnight - do they mean Saturday night at midnight or Friday at midnight?  (semantics is what I do for a living, but really I just don't want to goof and send it in a day late)

Also...do you think they'd be interested in a take on Dresden 'esque costuming?

As a rather large white woman with strawberry blond hair - there isn't a character I am any where near.  I had an idea on what I'd do for a larp character costume...would they want that?

Complete with wicked red featherduster staff...
Cheers & Thanks
