The Dabel Brothers are hosting a Dresden Files Halloween Costume Contest!  Check out all the rules here!

I can't wait to see what folks come up with.  Dresden fans have shown themselves to be an extraordinarily talented and creative bunch of individuals--this is definitely going to be a contest worth watching!  Thanks to the Dabel Brothers for giving the fans this opportunity to show their appreciation for Jim's books and strut their stuff!

REMINDER:  There's only a week left to submit entries!  Don't let the NOVEMBER 1ST DEADLINE pass you by!

Anyone think dressing up like Chauncy would be a good idea?

Awesome! I went as Harry last year anyways, so all I need to do is dig up the stuff and take the picture! I'm rocking the Engineering Student bags under the eyes currently, so I'll look more Exhausted Harry-like.

I'm assuming that people from Canada are allowed to take part? Or did I just make an ass u and Ming (the Merciless)?

Yup!  It's open to fans outside the US.  Best of luck!

I've a better question, are you thinking about doing this, 'Cellie?

Also, could it be anyone (or thing) from the Dresden verse? Because I have a good idea, but since I look like none of the characters I'd like to go for a potential no one.

I would love to enter, but seeing as how I work for the Dabels, I'm not sure I can.  Or if I could, but it would be in remarkably bad taste.  I'll have to chat with the guys and see if it would be kosher or not.

Yup!  Anyone!  As Jim is one of the judges, I expect creativity and wit will matter as much as technical quality when it comes to picking the winner!

Since the photos are going to be sent online, is it okay to Photoshop our pictures to have a few special effects? I'm mostly asking for small things like eye-color or slight glow effects.

(Send them the question and let us know! I mean, we could ask, but it's not going to get answered any faster cause it's us, when they give you contact info for it Wink )

if there is an answer to the photoshoping of pictures for minor effects could the answer be posted here as well? Please?

I also would like to know if after the contest all entrant pictures might be posted somewhere so everyone can see the Dresden fandom? it might be fun to get to see what ideas everyone came up with....
