At long last, we have the details for the remaining Dresden Files audio books!
Fans of the previous audio books will be thrilled to learn James Marsters has been signed to read the audios of
DEATH MASKS BLOOD RITES DEAD BEAT PROVEN GUILTY WHITE NIGHT and TURN COAT
Although our release dates are tentative/subject to change, the plan is to release the audios of PROVEN GUILTY, WHITE NIGHT, and TURN COAT simultaneous with the hardcover of TURN COAT in April 2009.
The audio of DEATH MASKS would be released simultaneous with our hardcover reissue in November 2009, while the audios of BLOOD RITES and DEAD BEAT would be released simultaneous with our hardcover reissue of BLOOD RITES in July 2010.
We'll keep you updated on the release schedule if anything changes. We'll also post links to the Jim-Butcher.com store as soon as they are available for preorder.

I can only assume it'll be sometime between the Grave Peril rerelease in Nov '08 and the Death Masks rerelease in Nov '09.

Yippee!! Feeding my two obcessions - James Marsters and the Dresden Files at the same time. I thought that this might be an appropriate place to thank Priscellie for the great news about the audio books that she sent us. Now I have to start saving again!!

I must say, even though I was introduced to this series through a failed tv show, (that still kinda rocked). I cannot imagine anyone being a true version of Dresden other than James Marsters. And when catching up with the various stories, I was dissapointed to hear that the whole series had not been made into audiobook with anyone, let alone him, as the lead. This repairs that breach. I look forward to these new audiobook releases, a lot!. Ps. His acting is great, his voiceover is great. His singing is great. His band sucks. What? Just saying.

Why why why are they doing them all out of order? That's just WRONG. Mostly b/c I wanna hear James read "Death Masks", it being my fave of the lot. C'mon now... grrrrrrr

Yes!! I'm so glad to hear this, as the audio books really help me to keep re-reading the dresden files.
In my job, I stare at a monitor all day, and as an IT geek I'm on the computer most evenings. Considering my addictive personallity, if I even think of throwing a desden book into the mix, I become dazed and confused .
Seriously Jim, your books should come with a health warning.

C'mon now... grrrrrrr This way, Penguin can cross-promote the hardback and audio releases! It's not a bad notion. Though I admit I go a bit weak at the knees at the idea of hearing James Marsters read a certain scene in "Death Masks." Mmm.

Fantastic news! James does a supurb job of bringing the characters to life... even if I did nearly drive my car into a ditch whist listening to him doing some of the steamier scenes , note to self: Do not listen to Death Masks whilst driving Oh and Nobodey . James' band Ghost Of The Robot broke up seeral years ago. Since when he's released two solo albums and done several tours . I thought the band were fun but uneven , you could get a good gig or a dreadful one He's WAY better solo.
