Also out today from the Dabel Brothers is "Home Coming" based on the books of Patricia Briggs. If you love the Dresden Files (and you all know that you do) pick up this comic as well. The books are fantastic. "Home Coming" is Patricia Brigg's "Welcome to the Jungle". I believe the comic book version of her books will be coming out later. Craig www.monstrumblog.com

Definately one of my errands tomorrow is swinging by Larry's Comics and picking this up. I was undecided before, but the preview artwork has me sold on it.

I picked it up today. At first, I was put off by the brisk pacing, but I got into it. After all, a comic with every bit of dialogue from the novel would be thousands of pages long.
It's neat to see Ardian Syaf's interpretations of some new characters (ones that weren't in WttJ). Susan looked great, but my favourite was actually Mac.
I do have a couple of questions. First, will the adaptation really only be four issues? I remember Priscellie saying earlier that it was going to be six. Second, where did that variant cover come from? It wasn't mentioned in the solicitation; is it a retailer incentive? I love trashy pulp detective novels, so I MUST HAVE that cover! Will the other issues also have variants?
Oh, and why did the Midwest Arcane become the Chicago Arcane?
Questions and nitpicking aside, the book looks great. I'm really looking forward to Ardian's interpretation of Toot-Toot!

We are having Dresden take February off and in March you get The Dresden Files: Storm Front Vol. II #1 (of 4) ( which is the second half of Storm Front. ) The pulpy cover can be ordered from Jet Pack Comics. It's a really limited edition cover of issues#1 ( http://www.jetpackcomics.com/)

Do you know when Jetpack will be selling the cover? It doesn't seem to be up on their site as of yet.

Got mine today. The art of the mailman was not as bad as in the Preview because the text distracts from it. He does look more villainous than I imaged. I liked the look of the other characters (Carmichael is still off but he won't be around much longer). Susan looked even better than I imaged so that makes up for the mailman.
I stopped myself at buying just one issue. With WttJ, I bought two of each (not caring about the covers) since I loaned out one set and wanted to keep in good condition the other. Now that I have the trade for WttJ, I realize I am going to buy the trades for Storm Front.
Good work Dabel Bros!

At this rate I wouldn't be able to afford to protect mankind from the perils of black magic. Hell's bells, that would be really embarrassing.

Beckett: (Clears throat) Ahem. What's the deal with men and boobs, anyway? Castle: Biological. We can't help it. Beckett: But doesn't it bother you that they're so obviously not real? Castle: (Pauses) Santa's not real. We still love opening his presents.

Got my copy today. Really like it. Good work everyone. I took a look online to see if I could find the alternate cover anywhere else. Didn't see it but did find a "directors cut," of issue 1 (out January 28th) plus the covers for issues 2,3 and 4 at TFAW.com. Looks like issue 2 will be released November 26th. I like that, not so long a wait.
